On Harmonies

Harmonies signal resonance with the universe. They create the greatest sounds in music. They create the best culinary dishes. They are the essence of experiential delight. They guide evolutionary mutation. They take many forms and can be cross-border (interharmonics) or in-border (intraharmonics). Many exist well outside what we’re able to perceive in our perceptual bubble. They trigger the Gestalt.

Intraharmics can be defined as within-group things combining to also form a new gestalt whole, except it always stays within the boundaries of the parts’ space. Sound harmonics produced by musical instruments. Olfactory harmonics via ingredients and foods. Reflective harmonics in color and light in oils (constructive interference). Gene expression harmonics within an organism’s DNA. They’re more than the parts, but still of the same identity as them.

Interharmonics can be defined as two or more modalities synchronizing in a broader semantic space of perception; superimposed together to form a gestalt whole. Like hearing and seeing something at the same time vs just hearing it or just seeing it; the whole of them experientially-fused together is a new semantic and conceptual thing. The modalities don’t just stack, they amplify one another’s fundamental traits; making them more than they are in isolation. Bringing them to a perceptual space with higher dimensionality, where they can stretch their usually confined reach.

- eg. fracatal-stacked gene mutation accumulation towards taxonomic split

Interharmonics are at the heart of all Creation.

Human perception is merely the superposition of all of our senses. Through this superposition process, a new gestalt whole is formed from the interharmonics of each sense. An at least 6-dimensional superposition (though we really have more than 6 senses).
